TS2 Hard Chrome
« on: October 25, 2023, 08:53:40 PM »
I have a TS2 that I love. Great shooter.  I’m thinking of having it hard chrome plated. My purpose is not necessarily for improved function but for aesthetics. Seems like all my guns tend to be black and boring. I want to bling this range toy. Has anyone done this and where is a good place to send it?
Thanks

Here is another one to consider: https://www.fordsguns.com/  - They have some examples of CZs specifically, so I would think they would know how to dis-assemble and coat everything properly.
I still may send my 97B to them for blueing - next year.
But Thanks for posting the one that's in AL - I might go that (local) route.

There are a lot of metals that can be used in electroplating. I suggest you look at nickel plating. It has the same bright silver-ish sheen as chrome, except it will have a beautiful blue haze when directly observed.
