Scorpion with hollow points
« on: January 19, 2024, 05:18:44 AM »
What are your guys experience running hollow points through the scorpion that’s my main drawl to it as many other PCC or sub guns have issues with running hollow points. This is the only reason I bought a flux raider. Running a sip 320s cause I know I can get reliable feeding of hollow points all day long.

I've had no problem with hollowpoints.  So far the only ammo my Scorpion does not like is WWB 115 FMJ.

There are "hollow points" and then there are "hollow points".

You cannot sit there with a straight face and tell me that you expect the very angular, conical shaped Hornady XTP (and other similar Hornady offerings) to feed the exact same as the rounded Speer Gold Dots or Federal HydraShok or the very wide mouthed Berry Target HP bullet (which can't even negotiate the feed ramps in some of my guns).

So the only way to proceed is to go buy a box or 3 of each and start your own testing.

In God we trust; On 'Starting Load' we rely.
