CZ CEO Interview
« on: October 14, 2023, 07:57:21 PM »
For those interested. Main points is he mentions a new gun in the CZ p10 family is coming. I don't think the answers were too in depth.

He’s definitely a finance guy, not a gun guy, which is discouraging. He picks the Glock clone as the most underrated — which it should be because it’s inferior to the CZ75 line, but from the financial standpoint it’s cheap to make and profitable.

On the positive side, he’s talking about more optics ready pistols across the board — hopefully many more in the CZ75 line, a micro compact pistol (hopefully a DA/SA pistol and not just another striker fired Glock clone) and an updated Bren 2 with more calibers (hopefully with parts and product support this time). Of course he’s pretty non- committal on these positive points, so it may just be all PR BS.

It looks like the colt curse might be continuing, but hopefully I am wrong.

Weak interview from TFB, but they're ultimately an entertainment website to the primary benefit of the firearms industry, not consumers.

And James Reeves is a lawyer and litigator, so it's not like he's lacking practice on asking tough questions to get to the truth.

Very interested on what changes they are planning for the P10 platform.  Possibly changeable side panels for the grip? Can't think of anything else that would be an improvement.
Let's go Brandon!

I own several models of CZ, Glocks, Walther and Sigs. My carry gun is a P10c. I would like a 22 version.
CZ needs to make all of its  models optic ready.

Did you watch the video, b/c that was discussed...  Let us know if aye or nay!

Yeah, I was less than chuffed by the interview.  His answer to the 10 MM question was sort of evasive.

CZ folks at an NRA convention said that you can have any caliber you want as long as it is 9 MM.  No 45 ACP, no 10 MM, no 380, no 5.7.

I have also lost hope of CZ releasing a world-class sub-compact.  It will probably be a version of the  P 10 with a lower-than-average mag capacity.

Never seen James fanboy this hard.  Understandable, but kind of disappointing.

Definitely would have liked to have gotten a firmer answer on the optics-readiness of future P-07s and P-09s... are we going to get them or not?

When less is said, the more the surprise?

I'm sure they don't want to cannibalize current sales by saying they will, but still, it would have been nice.

I don't think it is asking too much... but they may think differently.

Hudson did that a few years ago.  Announced an alloy framed model was coming out, people stopped buying the current model.  Hudson didn't have the cash flow and folded up.

When I first sent this image to CZ-USA several years ago, the then-VP of Marketing said, "Cool, fun size!". Unfortunately, it doesn't look like anyone tried to actually make it.
