DWX thumb safety

Has anyone been able to get the DWX compact thumb safety to work in their full size DWX. Bought one thinking it would work but the dimensions of the safety are different.  Anyone have any luck getting it to work. Part number was DWX 0037.

Not sure what cosmetic variations there may be but being a 1911 style safety they more often than not require some hand fitting to work properly regardless of being for the same or similar guns from the same manufacturer.
