I'd been eyeballing compact CZs for a while for no particular reason. Aluminum frame for light weight made sense for a compact gun. I like the option to carry cocked and locked. P-01 Omega got discontinued. PSA marked them down to $550. Cajun Gun Works exists.

It is a crying SHAME that CZ does NOT carry an alloy frame compact with manual safety.  The trigger potential is night and day.

Yeah I'll throw the BS flag on this one. My safety model guns have no better trigger than my decocker versions and the decockers are every bit as good as the safety models. YOU just don't like working on the decockers.

I think briang2ad is specifically griping about the Omega setup in metal frame guns vs the traditional decocker and safety setups -- as I believe he has voiced those complaints on Omegas here on the forum previously, specifically in regards to the Omega trigger's inconsistent nature from gun to gun.   :-\

The later version of the metal framed Omega guns was convertible from decocker to safety just as the P 07/09 series guns are so then an alloy framed model was available with a safety which would be the P-01 Omega. CZ does list it as discontinued this year.

Yeah, it was and factory configuration was decocker, not safety, although safety configuration parts are usually included...

I think the gripe is that their is not a P01 alloy frame with a safety outside of the omega options, only steel-framed compacts are available AFAIK.
