Alamo-15 Trigger
« on: December 15, 2023, 11:11:33 PM »
Serious question, so forgive me if it's ridiculous. Does anyone know why every website that offers the “perfectly legal/non-NFA” Alamo-15 trigger will only accept payment via PayPal, Zelle, or cash app? I found one website that does accept credit card payment but they were “currently having issues with their credit card processing system and would like customers to use an alternative method of payment“. A.k.a., Zelle, PayPal, or cash app. Am I missing something or am I just being ridiculous for not wanting to use one of these alternative payment options? Also, am I wrong for being a little suspicious of this?

Think of the item concerned. If it was truly 'totally legal' all the big names would be selling them hand over fist. It is a tactic to separate the stupid from their money. Make it a little 'dangerous' and every wannabee 'operator' will line up to get it.

No credit card option is the common signature of a scam website. I would never purchase anything from such a site. If they offer a physical location,  a quick search on 'Google maps' often reveal it to be a bogus address such as a residence.

Wait until you see the item on the website belonging to an established well known vendor.

Oh yeah that is El-scamo for certain. There's so many scam outfits going now if you're ever in doubt stop by your favorite lgs and see if they can order things like this for you.
