CZ P10 Trigger overtravel reduction
« on: March 23, 2024, 08:47:23 AM »
Hello dear forum members,
I'am writing you from the very gun-unfriendly country of germany.

I own a p10 F and have a question about the triggers overtravel. I already polished the relevant trigger parts (diamond file, arkansas stone, special 3000-8000 grit paper). Takeup is nice and smooth, break is clean with no noticable creep after the wall. I can do some basic gunsmithing.

What I would like to know is, if there are any ill effects of reducing overtravel with the p10 I didnt think of. I know with glocks there is a point where overtravel stops cause all kind of problems.

Overtravel is about half to one millimeter with the this particular gun. When I simulate a stop by putting something behind the trigger, I notice that the trigger bar does not drop down completely and the part of the sear that catches the striker when the gun cycles sticks up a bit. The more you put behind the trigger, the farther it sticks out. I dont see a problem, as long as it clears the striker when the trigger is released. However the triggerbar does interact with the disconnector obviously.

Are there any problems that arise in this area that I do not think of?

Thank you very much, appreciate your help.
