CZ P-01 Optic Milling
« on: July 21, 2024, 01:17:40 PM »
I just purchased a CZ 75 P-01 and plan on adding the Holosun 407K to it. I have been researching companies that will mill the slide for this. I have come up with 2 so far and wanted any input pro or con on either of them or any other suggestions.

1) MK3 will mill the slide for $295 - good reviews

2) Primary Machine will mill the slide for $170 - good reviews

3) Vulcan Machine Werks for $125 - good reviews

4) Wager Machine Works for $135 - good reviews

So far nothing negative on either company.

Since there is quite a bit of difference in pricing I just want to make sure I go with the best company.

Thanks

Primary Machine and Vulcan Machine both know what they're doing. Primary Machine is the only company I've ever gotten a bad cerakote job from. The paint flaked off within months. The bad cerakote job was quite a number of years ago, so I'm sure they fixed that by now. Vulcan is the best I have encountered, and it's in the same price range as Primary Machine.

Wager has a great reputation for top notch work with quick turnaround.

I used Impact Machine awhile back with no complaints.  However, I've heard quality has since gone down.

They cut and cerakoted a SP-01 slide for me within the last year or two with no complaints. Scott even called me once he finished the job to let me know I'd have to either shorten a factory firing pin block spring or use a CGW spring since the firing pin block channel was modified with the milling and optic in place. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
