P07 ejector play?
« on: May 01, 2024, 01:01:20 AM »
Had my P07 for a while now and it’s always gone bang though noticed after shooting it today that there is a tiny bit of ejector play up and down and wondering if that’s normal.   Ejection is mostly just fine with an occasional one going up over the head towards 6 o’clock instead of to right at 4:30.

Mine sort of wiggles if I pull up on it but drops back down when I let it go.  If it was upside down I might find that it would only push upwards, and then drop back when gravity takes over.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The play is normal - that is why it is installed with a spring.

Exactly this.

Unlike something like a P10 where the ejector is a solid piece of the frame insert, the P-07 ejector is a separate part that is held in place by spring tension.  Pushing it down and rotating it out is actually one of the early steps in disassembling your frame.  It's the second thing you do after removing your hammer spring, if I remember correctly.  After that, you remove your decocker or safety levers.
