CZ Model 27 question.
« on: March 27, 2024, 09:57:04 PM »
I just purchased a Model 27 and I'm curious to know if it's common for the magazine to be ridiculously hard to remove and install?  I've never owned a pistol that behaves in this way.  I know it's old but it's in very nice condition.  Is there something l can do to make it work a little better?  Thanks!

If a  magazine is the wrong size or is damaged it might be difficult to remove.

In the past I've bought older CZ models at gun shows only to find that it came with magazines that didn't work.

To help, I have started documenting my known good magazines for my older CZ/Vz's by tracing them on 1/4 inch graph paper,
measuring and recording critical dimensions with a micrometer and then taking a photo.

This is the best way to find if yours is genuine or to find others at a gun show--just take a printout with you and measure--especially the angle.

Here is one from my 1945 vintage CZ 27 in .32 ACP:
