Shadow 2 vs Shadow 2 Compact
« on: March 04, 2025, 10:09:40 AM »
For those of you that have or have had both, which one you do/did you like better if neither one of them was carried?

Looking at both optics ready versions, but not sure which one I like better.  I would not carry either.  And, would not immediately put an optic on it, but probably would somewhere down the road.

I currently have both of them and are both very accurate. You can’t go wrong with either one of them. Very hard to pick between them! For me it is a tie.

both are fun.
think its kind of if  you like full size guns or compacts.
I tend to like the S2 Compact a little better for the overall size and feel.

both guns shoot well, run reliable

Both are great, buy both! Each has a reason to exist. But the Compact is just THE GUN!

I'm not in the market for either one, at least not today, but I can share what I've learned from a few years shooting full size (4.5-5" barrels) versus compact (4"barrel) pistols.  With a red dot, the accuracy differences are very small, even out to 200 yards.  Now with irons, it's different because of the sight spacing, I suppose, but I've never compared them with irons alone.

So the choice comes down to balance/look/feel, not accuracy, and maybe what accessories are available.  For myself, I just like handling the 4" compact pistols a little more than the full size "not too big, not too small, just right".

Even the 3.5" subcompact P-10S doesn't give up hardly anything in accuracy with a red dot mounted.  Another pleasant surprise.
