I must admit that I don't know if this can be done.  (I have seen advertizements for replacement .380 ACP barrels for Makarov (spelling?) barrels, but so far I have not seen a replacement for the CZ 82 9mm Mak barrel.

We sell the CZ 83 blue model pistol brand new for just over three hundred dollars (I think!).  Why would you spend $259.99, pay the transfer fees and get a used military pistol chambered in a round that you may or may not be able to get ammo for in the future.  Or even consider paying, let's just say one hundred dollars for a .380 barrel then have to pay a gunsmith to fit, function test, and test fire the new barrel?

Isn't the 82 and 83 barrel the same?   The original poster should check with CZ-USA.   CZ still makes 9x18 (Mak)barrels and guns; it just doesn't import as many 9mm Mak guns to the US.
