Angus (Or anyone else who might know)-
I have an EAA Witness in 9mm and was curious if the magazines for it (CZ 75) fit the CZ Tactical Sport (Standard IPSC) or if that gun had a larger frame?
The reason I am asking is that my Witness has a cracked frame rail from the thumb safety to the rear of the frame on the magazine release side and I am looking to find a replacement that could still use the same mags w/ extended base pads and otehr equipment.
I have had the gun for about 3-4 years and put over 70,000 rounds through it. I absolutely love the gun and would hate to have to scrap it. Do you think thier is anything that can be done to "fix" the crack, ie. welding?
I shoot the Witness in USPSA Limited and L-10 with a Safariland 009/010?? holster and 771 mag pouches that are sized for the caspian/CZ75 mags. I also shoot the gun in Production with a Comp-Tac locking paddle and single mag pouches. Would this equipment fit the CZ TS? I know being SA only, it would not be a production gun, but just curious on frame and slide size vs a regaulr 9mm CZ 75.
Any info would be appreciative. Mostly I am curious about the size comparison of the CZ 75 and the CZ TS, and if you think the framw can be "fixed" I have pictures and can e-mail if that would help.
Also, do you have any ideas/thoughts on the EAA Witness ELITE Limited with the full dust cover and magwell they are starting to sell now?!? I am in a toss up between the two. Any ideas on accesories (Holsters, triggers, sights, mag base pads, guide rods, spring weights, etc..) on the CZ TS, probably in .40 S&W for major
I know that is a lot of questions, but I have been curious and have not seen one of the new guns yet. Thank you for your time, patience, and experience.
