CZ 75 Tactical Sport Magazine Well & Extended Magazines
« on: February 13, 2008, 09:37:00 AM »
All;

      I'm considering installing one of those extended mag wells Angus sells on his site on my Tactical Sport.  The question I have is, I live in the People's Republic of Kalifornia where 10 round magazines are the limit.  Will the added depth of that mag well require that I put extensions on my magazines, and if so, where might I find such bumpers/extensions for those 10-round limited magazines?  Ideas or suggestions?

If I understand what you have correctly, don't you have pinned 10 rd magazines?  If so, you could just install the aluminum base pads to the bottom of your 10rd mags or does in not have the removable basepad to switch out.  I've never picked up a 10rd tactical sport magazine.  Same thing with the Taylor Freelance basepads, but these are both expensive options when they may not work on your 10 round magazines.

Sorry for not getting back to this thread.

The magaines are not pinned, but shortened.  They have removable plastic bases that are longer by the number of missing rounds that would normaly be accomodated (17 in this case).  What ever I replace this plastic base with would have to be that long plus whatever is needed to make it extend beyond the add-on mag well.

After much thought about this, I doubt that such a thing exists.  I suspect it might be something that would have to be custom made.
