Night sights for competition?
« on: June 27, 2006, 07:45:21 PM »
Does anyone have the factory night sights installed and can comment on their suitability for use in USPSA? If so, are they the Meprolights or the PT style sights?

I have a line on an SP-01 Tactical with night sights. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth paying the extra for the night sights -- or if I'm going to find that I want to change them to competition sights. I have the competition sights from Angus on my CZ 75BD and they're great.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Jim

I got to spend some time with a friend's new SP-01, it has the night sights. I would definately change them out for the Angus' sights for competition. That's just my opinion, your's may be different.

Don't dig the three dots for competition, actually for anything really.

If you plan on shooting matches, definitely get the competition sights.

You could change out the rear and use the front dot.  I like a front dot (not FO) and plain black rear so I'm going try the night sight front with a competition rear and see what happens.

Well, the competition sights on my 75 are just about perfect for me, so I'll plan on changing them out, if/when I get the SP-01 Tactical!

the competition sights are nice.

I have played around with dots, bars, night sights, FO..and always end up back with a serrated black front sights and a black notch rear sight..
