RAMI for sale now?...ummm nope

Funny thing...poking around on gunbroker.com and ran a search for RAMI, and I'll be, one popped up! $449. Woo-hoo! I practically had my wallet in my hand...
            So I did two things: I called my local dealer to see about the gun transfer, etc; and I called the seller on gunbroker. My local dealer said that he'd just gotten off the phone with CZ-USA and they told him there are none of these pistols in the US yet, and that they'll be here ~2/04 (just what everyone on this forum has been saying all along). Then I called the seller, and in fact even though he's got one up for auction, he doesn't have the guns yet. However he's saying he'll have some in "about two weeks" (i.e. around New Years 2004). So who knows? I gave both my local dealer and the auction folks my phone number and was put on some kind of waiting list - I'll wait to see who can get 'em in quicker.
            Either way it won't be too long now....

I'm told that the ATF has passed them for importation. Now the guns have to arrive from Czech Rep. Customs has to clear them, ect. The FEB release date is probably the best guess
            that CZ-USA can make.
           
            Everyone seems excited about the RAMI, and I'm sure a
            few Dealers are advertising guns they don't have yet.
            This has happened before.

Yes it is CZ Connection.  I placed my order with them.  We will see how they deliver on the 2 weeks. I hope they are right.

I'm on the list for one in 9mm (from CZConnection). I didn't expect to see it until February/March, but if it comes in sooner than that, I'll be one happy CZer

Thanks mbott.  I wonder if those who won the gun broker auctions for Compact .40s will get their guns at the same time as the RAMI folks.
           
            I really hope this works out for those who RAMIs on order there.

Guys....Phil @ CZConnection was selling the Comp Carry 40 S*W and it hadnt been made.........ever!  He finally pulled the gun off of the net..I think?  Be careful, he's pretty honest in most of his dealings...but has some "unusual business" practices...........

I bought my first CZ from Phil at CZ Connection and won't buy another from him on a dare, and I've bought three since then. YMMV.

I dunno . . . . . I deal with a little tiny shack-in-the-woods gun shop that, for whatever reason (great prices?!?) does a high volume of business.  I trust him, and he likes me (I've done lots of business $$$ with him in the past 12 months!)

good, now i can get a small compact version of my CZ-40b.
            kinda nice to have a weapon that i dont have to re-accquaint my self with (safety wise anyway)
