(The following is reposted, with permission, from a message by Jim Miossi in another area of the CZ Forum, in response to a question about problems associated with installing the competition (Angus Hobdell) hammer).

FITTING THE ANGUS HAMMER
The Angus hammer has a slightly raised sear bed so it changes the timing of the action itself. Often the disconnector needs some material to be removed from the bottom of the ears, and at the same time you should square the disconnector catch and polish the top of the trigger bar and under side of the disconnector. Then fit the hammer to the safety, do not fit the safety to the hammer or you can not go back. You should also check the engagement of the sear and the hammer hooks. I usually deepen the engagement to a minimum of 60%.
Also check for complete free rotation around all pivot pins on the hammer and disconnector. Make sure any burs or rough spots are dressed and polished before final reassembly.
