Remember, the pistol is as safe as you are.

As far as I know, the only way to carry with the hammer down is to carry without a round in the chamber.

Half-cocked carry is perfectly safe.

I would never recommend carrying a pistol without a round in the chamber.  If you pull a firearm, you are in a deadly situation and you don't have time to rack that slide.

The gun is safe at half cocked as the firing pin block keeps the firing pin from coming forward unless the trigger is pulled all the way back to release it.

The P-01 is just as safe with the hammer down (and a round in the chamber) as it is on the half-cock notch with a round in the chamber.

Half cock work great for me. Check more often for lint, etc., getting in if you carry concealed.

Half-cocked is the way to go, but you could carry it safely, hammer down (fully)....  as the gun has a firing pin block, and can't fire unless the trigger is pulled fully to the rear.

The gun is designed to decock to the half-cock notch, and that is the normal "at rest" or "carry" position.

All the way down or half there both ok.You have a shorter trigger pull at half cocked. There is a firing pin block similar to a revolver whitch you can see on a revolver.test your gun at the range with your thumb on the hammer pull the trigger let the hammer drop slightly then release the trigger then let the hammer drop your gun will not fire then you can feel safe carring hammer down with one in the chamber.I was also did not want to carry like this untill I did my test with all my guns. You will never have time to load your gun in a defence sittuation.
