Finding a cz52
« on: October 03, 2007, 01:36:43 PM »
Hi everyone, I would like to know if anyone else is having  as much trouble finding a cz52 as I am? The local dealers that I have called would not order a cz52. The closest dealer I have found is Brain Nussbaum Company in Burlingame, Ca. That is 35 miles away from where I live.

P.s. once my cz arrives I'll be letting you all know if it is as accurate as I have been reading in this forum.:rolleyes

Your right.  Alot of regular gun shops won't order milsurp guns for various reasons.  One of these being that they don't regularly deal with the supliers of these guns.  The other is if you dont pick it up, they are stuck with something that may not sell.
After working in a gun shop for 4 years, I found the best way to get any milsurp gun is to go to a gunshow.  The other ways are more of a hassel.  One is to try and get a C&R license and order one direct.  The last possibility is to find one online, and arrange shipping to your regular gun shop, though the gun shop would have to send a copy of their FFL to the seller/web site in order for it to be shipped.  Then just pick it up like normal.
Then again, 35 miles isnt that far to drive for something you want, especially a firearm.  I live in PA, and the dealer I prefer is the one i used to work at, and its about 45 miles as the crow flies.

Oddly enough, check pawn shops, esp. those that make it a point to advertise firearms. I've seen a couple even in my little slice of podunkville.

If it's not too difficult in your state, get a C&R. And buy an SKS. You'll still save money after all the fees, and I know the fella who sold me my Cz at a gun show wasn't much of a price-compromiser. Maybe on the last day of a gun show the prices will be lower, but you can't beat $130 mail-order. When you think about customising later, you'll be glad you bought a cheap 52.

Get one from Classic Arms online. My chrome one is from there and it's beautiful. Only $200+shipping.

It seems Classic Arms and SOG are the only dealers left that have CZ52's in stock.   If you want one, don't wait too long or you'll miss the boat.   JMO
