Anyone ever use 92 base plates on CZ mags? I like the way they look.

Eh? They fit? I'll have to try that when I get home this evening...

briang2ad,

Well, I tried fitting the baseplate from a Beretta 92FS magazine onto a CZ 75B magazine. The results:

It does fit, but the position of the bump on the CZ mag's retention plate doesn't lock the Beretta mag's baseplate in one position. In other words, the baseplate has a bit of fore-aft play (the images above show the baseplate pushed as far back as it will go).

Looks pretty spiffy, though!

I guess this is not optimum.  Too bad.  I do think the BEST looking mag bases are those on the 75B 40 TEN ROUNDERS, but they will not fit any other mags, and are really part of the neutering drill.  Thanks.

BTW - do your grips interfere with you putting your safety "on"?

Call it a senior moment, but it did not occur to me to use the retention plate from the Beretta mag in the CZ mag. I'm betting that doing so would prevent the Beretta mag's baseplate from sliding back and forth. I'll give this a try when I get home later today.

The Trausch grips do interfere slightly with flipping the safety on. I don't really find this to be a problem as I have relatively small hands and a commensurately small thumb, but I can definitely see a shooter with a larger thumb perhaps having some difficulty manipulating the safety.

VERY good pics - and if this works, great! Now, I'd love to find out where to buy some Beretta mag bases and retention plates.

D'oh!

The retention plate from the Beretta mag does not fit the CZ mag due to the incursion of the dimples on the lower sides of the CZ mag:

In the image above, you can see how the retention plate of the CZ mag (on the left) is narrower in order to clear the dimples on the mag tube.

Is there any magazine pads avalable specifically for the CZ75? I would like some standard pads and some + round mag extenders. I looked at Taylor Freelance but they are for the TS frame size. Thanks.
