Anybody switched their VZ.58 from Bakelite to Zytel stock? Having a problem...

I bought a VZ with the bakelite furniture and since have decided I'd prefer the longer pull of the Zytel skeleton stock. I ordered the skeleton stock from TGI but am having an issue with fit...

This is because behind the trigger guard, on the bottom of the receiver is a piece of metal that keeps the stock from fitting flush against the receiver. The VZ's that ship with Zytel stocks have a cutaway there for that reason.

I like the VZ, but sure would prefer the skeleton stock.

Call 1-800-955-4486, and ask for Mike Eaglesheild in Gunsmithing, see what he can do for you. Or, take it to a local 'smith for evaulation/work. I gotthe Zytel stock myself, looks better, and fits great!

Should have bought a second. The military stock fits me just fine, but I may have to buy another with the Zytel stock just because. ;D
