Has anybody tried a CZ 75 TS mag in their Rami?
« on: May 24, 2009, 01:24:22 PM »
Thinking it would give me a 17 round backup.  . . . if it works.  Course I reckon if one of the 9mm owners has tried the 20 rounder . . . the same answer would apply.  Help?

I've read all CZ magazines are interchangeable I haven't had the chance to try that out though. I would be interested to see what you find out.

I bought a couple of 17 +2 Mec-Gar AFC mags off the forum and I use them in my Rami. I sent them to CZ with my gun for them to fix a slight FTRTB issue I've been having. With an 18lb recoil spring they worked flawlessly, but not with the stock spring.

I don't think the TS mags will fit. the gun uses a wider cartridge stack than the 75/85 gun.

Nor will the P-07 Duty's mag fit.

However, my 25 rounder seems to work fine!

Thanks for the link to MecGar.  13 rounds would still be a decent back up beyond just carrying a second 8 rounder.  Even more cool that the 13 rounders sell for 1/2 of what a 17 round TS goes for.

ClarkstonCZ, where on earth did you find a 25 round magazine that fits the RAMI and do they make something for the .40?

CZ-USA has them as 25 round CZ75B 9mm mags.

Next question - Are the the mag bodies the same size between 9 and 40?  Perhaps the 25 rounder for 9mm could work (albeit with a lil less capacity and maybe some mag-lip mod) with a follower swap . . . if the mag bodies are the same size?

Any thoughts on that?  I only found the 25 rounder on the CZ world site, am I looking in the wrong place on the CZUSA site https://shop.cz-usa.com/SearchByCategory.aspx?CategoryCode=35  ?

I have both an OEM 16 round and a MEC-GAR 16 round mag for my 75-B and have used both in my Rami with no problems. The extended mag does not work well for concealed carry, but the extra extension is great for the range.
