pre-B slide stop
« on: February 06, 2007, 12:35:06 AM »
Hello,

new member.. long time fan of my CZ...  recently my slidestop has broken, does anyone know where I can get a pre-B slidestop?  I would prefer pre because I like the look of the original gun better.  Any help will be appriciated.

:D

Pre-B slide stops are hard to come by.  Your best best will be to get one for a 75B as you continue your search.

One place where I've found a couple of pre-B parts, from time to time, is Jack First. www.jackfirstgun.com.  Picked up a pre-B hammer there when I couldn't find one anywhere else.

You might check with CZ-USA (call them, don't try email.)

They MAY have some, or some of the stops used on the CZ-75B Retro, which are very similar (if not identical.)

[Corrected the bad link, above.  Sorry.]

okay... so i get my non pre-b slidestop from cz and everything is going to be fine now.... then I noticed that there is a crack in the frame behind the safety!  What should I do?  I took it shooting... since it didnt seem that bad... no problems really... the gun still shoots as good as it ever did.  what do you guys think?  I still LOVE this gun!!!  I think it shoots better than any sig... but I guess Im a little biased

What slide stopr did you get from CZ?  Was it for a CZ 75B?  Are you saying that it fit your pre B?

Sorry to hear about the crack.  I could not open your pic.

Get a gunsmith to look at the gun.  He should be able to tell whether the crack is dangerous or not -- or whether anything can be done.

I copied the photo and enlarged it and couldn't see the crack...   You may have to MARK the picture.

On photobucket, under your picture there are three links.  Just copy and past the one that has [ img ] by it.  That's all.  Don't use the insert image links on the left.

Yes, just post the TAG from Photobucket, directly into a message.  Ignore the EZBoard image-posting commands.
