Need suggestions with tweaking out my cz-85B
« on: March 24, 2009, 02:00:24 AM »
I only saw a cz-85 C section..nothing for the b, so I assume this will be ok.

Anyhow...I'm wanting to tweak out the cz to make her a real sweet shooter.  This is what I was thinking so far..basically I'm wanting to add new sights and have a better & lighter trigger pull without replacing the original trigger.  I think I read somewhere that the stock 85B trigger has an overtravel adjustment screw...what exactly does that do?  Sorry, I'm new to firearms.

site I'm ordering from:

competition hammer:

main spring:

recoil spring:

competition rear sight:

front sight (gunsmith I'm using is adding a gold bead to the front sight):

Not to try to dissuade you from doing all of this, but if you are new to firearms, why not learn to shoot on a stock setup? The CZ is a "real sweet shooter" out of the box. A stock CZ will shoot better than any novice can shoot! Plus once you learn to handle this firearm and shoot it well with stock parts, just think how much better you'll be when you do all of these upgrades  :)

I guess when I meant new, I meant still young with shooting pistols.  I've been shooting for about 2 years now and I want to upgrade the cz.
