I carried a 19 and a 26 for awhile, and liked them both. The 19's size is more easily shootable than the 26, and it doesn't add much weight or size for carry. If I could afford only one gun for defense, it might be a 19, for its lightness, capacity, good trigger, excellent sights, and total reliability. It pointed perfectly for me, although that's not everyone's experience.
I did not like the absence of a thumb safety and worried about the trigger catching a stray hunk of shirt when I holstered the gun.
A CZ 75 fits most hands wonderfully. In SA mode it's usually somewhat more accurate than a 19, and I prefer the factory 75 SA version to the DA/SA option. The 75's I own are completely reliable (except with CCI aluminum cases), and they're simply more beautiful than a Glock, especially with factory rosewood or other aftermarket grips. Buy a Kadet .22 conversion kit, and you've got a lifetime of fun as well as a fine carry gun.
Downsides: Glock sights are faster to pick up. And a 75 weighs about a pound more than a 19. That's significant for most people in daily carry, which is why I bought a CZ Rami, too. It saves 10 ounces over a 75, but otherwise has the same virtues.
For me, the 19 was an excellent tool, but the 75 is a work of art.
