30th Anniversary owner roll call..
« on: December 24, 2006, 04:20:46 AM »
I was in the local gun show and noticed one of the few booths that carried CZs on a regular basis. I didn't notice his stock at first and asked him and he mentioned I should take a look at this one.. and pointed out a 30th anniversary model.. I was doomed/in love at first sight. Even though I had already purchased another gun earlier at the show I couldn't pass up this rare beauty.
I have number 651.. who else has one of these marvelous pieces of art?

Post pics!

I have only seen them on the CZ site and they are an interesting twist on the barbeque gun.  The embelishments really do have an eastern European flair and I think it actually looks quite nice in the pictures.

One of the local CZ dealers says he has serial number 0002, and it's not for sale!  He could at least put it out for people to salivate over.

Another local shop had at one time four of the 30th Anniversary models, and may still have, for as much as they were asking for them.  Right around $600.  A touch high for my recreation fund.

I've got a 30th Anniversary CZ-75B .  I resisted the temptation of having the local gunshop order one for me, but then the shop got in two as store stock and I was hooked.  Choosing between the two was pretty easy, because one of them had more figure in the wood grips.  Price was $579.  I got number four hundred fifty-something.

A couple of months later, the shop got in another.  This time, the price was only $519 and I darned near bought a second one, but hesitated and someone else got it.  This was probably for the better as I have no intention of shooting this gun.  Besides the reduction in value of shooting a commemorative, the gold plating would wear off quickly, I believe.

In October of 2006, my boyfriend and I went to a local gun dealer to pick up a beretta cx4 Storm carbine in 9mm. While we were there, I looked up and saw this beautiful gun on the wall, and had to hold it. Now, being relatively new to shooting at the time, I know absolutely nothing about CZ and had never shot one. As soon as I held it in my hand, I knew I had to have it. Now, usually, I want to try out a gun before I buy one, but I just knew that it was the one for me. I put some cash down and thirty days later paid it off and took it to the range. We go shooting at least once a week, sometimes two or three times. I know that alot of people consider this gun to be a safe queen, but I don't believe in buying a gun just to look at. I gotta shoot it. Since I bought this gun, I have acquired a CZ 452 Ultra Lux .22 and just ordered a 40 P. I can hardly wait to get the 40 and take it to the range.
