cz 52 steel firing pin
« on: October 07, 2009, 10:42:33 PM »
Has anyone here used a steel firing pin from J&G sales to replace their broken oem cast FP?

My oem FP broke last week but luckily I had ordered a cpl of the J&G steel FP's.

It seems as though the J&G fp isn't long enough for the tip to protrude thru the fp hole and hit the cartidge so some filing/fitting is in order.

I just want some opinions on what to file seeing as there are two solutions to attack.
Should I file the shoulders close to the tip or file the FP retaining slot at the rear of the FP that allows the slight movement during firing?

also what is the actual FP tip protrusion that should be sticking out the FP hole?

went to range last night the J&G Sales steel FP worked without a problem, no tip problems, no fitting/filing needed and no tip protrusion problems.

Had a blast... ::)
