No, has nothing to do with the rifle, but the fact the range was reserved for GOP, Gathering Of the Posses cowboy action shooting match all this past weekend, and I couldn't try out my new scope for my CZ 527M!
OK, this is nothing fancy, a cheap Simmons 3-9 that came to less than $50 shipped. Couldn't afford anything nice, but quite frankly, this scope has nothing wrong with it!
I did boresight to reccomendations, and this is what I got starting of at 25 yards. BTW, each sight in target represents four total 3 shot sight in targets shot at that distance.
At this range it BETTER be a tight group! Let's adjust and move to 50.
OK, looks good, like I might be able to make this MOA. Now, out to 75.
WAITAMINNIT! The purists are screaming, why 75, why not 100? I ran outa dirt, this is the 80 yard range - the long range was busy today, sorry.
OK, handy dandy measuring tape says 7/8 inch, I can definately live with this....but wait one cotton pickin' minute...what's this?
Now that's a 3 shot group. Measuring tape says 3/8 inch. Best out of 4 groups fired at 75 yards, gives me some REAL good hope for this little carbine. I got some time off coming up...where do you think I will be?
