Few things are worse than waiting on the government
« on: August 12, 2010, 07:54:34 PM »
I mailed off the forms to get my C&R FFL on 7/28. The funds cleared my bank on 8/3. Now I guess I have to wait and wait and wait. ive only been waiting a couple of weeks now and I'm already getting impatient.

I read on another forum that someone got there license in one month. Anyone else been this lucky? If not, what was your wait time like?

Keep us posted BigK. I'm already talking it over with my wife to my C&R soon too.

What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

I waited about 2.5 months this past year.  I've since used it to purchase 3 pistols ( 2 EG Maks and a CZ52) and  5 rifles (Yugo 24/47, vz24, and 3 Mosins).  The C&R is great but it can be detrimental to your wallet.

My first 2 purchases are going to be a Mosin and a CZ 52 (if there are any left when I get my license). Those 52's are getting harder to come by. I will eventually be getting more rifles than pistols, since there aren't many C&R pistols to be had, it seems.

I think I was lucky.  I sent it out 7/17 and the license arrived at my house on 8/2.

I have done some damage over the last two weeks.

so you sent yours out 11 days before me and mine is already 17 days past yours. how'd i lose those 6 days in only a few weeks' time?
