Problems with my Slavia 624.
« on: May 08, 2010, 08:12:40 PM »
Hi guys.

A few months ago I was looking through my garage and stumbled uppon my dad's old Slavia 624 that he had when he was young.

Unfortunately, when I took it out of my garage, I started shooting it right away without checking to see if everything was lubed and in good condition. Almost 1000 pellets latter I'm starting to notice that it's become much quieter and I find it's losing power too. It can barely shoot through both sides of a cardboard box!

Could my ignorance have done any permanent damage to the mechanics of the gun? I know for sure that it neds a new spring now but where can i get one that will fit? The seal on it is realy hard too, what can I use on it to soften it up?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

It might be your spring but I'd be willing to bet your seals are bad. I would try this gentleman to see if he has the parts you need.http://www.richinmich.com/

Good Luck and let us know what you find out.
