used CZ85 price
« on: May 19, 2006, 05:29:01 PM »
One of the local gun dealers has a used CZ85 with M.R.I  (Magnum.Research Ind.) stamped on barrel with an apparent mfg. date of '94. It has only one magazine, appears to be about 90 to 95% condition. He wants $350. There is no manuel or box for it. Any thouhgts on this price? Same dealer also has new CZ 75 compacts for $399,tax.

If its in good shape, it is (in effect) the equivalent of a new 85 Combat, or a slightly upgraded pre-B CZ-75.  That's a good price, and you might have a little wiggle room.

No.  Generally solid guns.  (There aren't any "bad periods" that I know of, for any of the CZs.)

I have that exact model of gun......year and all. I paid $399.00 for it.(So $339 is a real good price for the condition you described) It is the most accurate 9mm I own..........I would not get rid of it for anything. I have NEVER had ANY issues whatsoever. By the way, mine only came with one mag also.

Take care, Mike Arnold

I bought my two CZ 85 Combats a few years ago for $350.00 each. One is poly-coated and the other is satin nickel. So I think that $350.00 for one today is a good price. Both my 85Cs are solid as a rock.

Best regards.

I paid over $400 for a nickel-plated 85 Combat, so $350 is a great price.  (I think I paid about $450, but that was too long and too many gunsago to be sure... )

I just paid $517 for a brand new CZ85 Combat and a local gun dealer has new CZ85s for $400.  That much for a used gun sounds too high.
