The funny thing is that I have owned only one Pre B that would not take current magazines, a 1980's Bauska.  But my later Action Arms 1994 production took current magazines.  My 1984 Swiss Pre B Bauska also does.

Check out the Mother Ship.  Just noticed CZ-USA is listing Pre B magazines

I just submitted an order to CZ-USA for some of these "Pre-B".  I hope they will work in my CZ 75 I imported from Canada back in the days when that was the only way you could get a CZ 75 unless you were stationed in Europe and brought one back from there.  I'll report on how they work when I get them.

Mixed News About "Pre-B" CZ75 Magazines from CZ-USA
« Reply #18 on: March 22, 2011, 08:04:24 PM »
Just received my 4 "Per-B" CZ75 magazines fro CZ-USA.  What do you want first the good new or the bad or the really bad news?  First, my CZ75 is a 1987 vintage.  OK, the really bad news.  One of the magazine I received WILL NOT even fully seat into the pistol. In fact, it gets STUCK in the magazine well. I had to tap it out using a wood dowel and plastic hammer.  Two other magazines go into the pistol but do not drop free. And yes I have modified the magazine break (did that years ago).  Now the good news, one magazine works great.  Goes in slicker than snot on a marble floor and drops free like Fat Boy did from the B29.

Also ordered a set of walnut grips.  Not impressed.  They are walnut but got some kind of black finish on them.

Still deciding what I going to do about magazines and grips.  Any suggextions?

Did you try the magazines with the new grips or the originals?
I had the right to remain silent...

The Mecgar mag sold by CDNN for the EAA Witness fits fine. No drop free, but fits and cycles correctly.

Ordering Pre-B magazines from CZ-USA is no guarantee that they will "drop free" when used with a Pre-B CZ75.  Just got 3 replacement Pre-B magazine from CZ-USA for the 3 I return because of problems mentioned earlier.  Onlt one "drops free". The other two fit but need to be pulled all the way out.

I bought four mags fromm CDNN about six years ago and they all functioned just fine in my pre-B. I guess it's a crapshoot.
