So it's been coming for a while now...a need to change things up. I've wanted a Kimber/1911 for a long time now. So the local gun show was in full gear. I went looking for a Kimber and to lighten my CZ load. I packed up a P-01 and a 97b. Some dealers wanted no parts of a CZ trade. Kinda sad. All dealers admitted they are great guns, but these are businessmen, and I get it. It's simply a shame that more people don't understand how much better a CZ is than a ____ (insert your favorite arch-rival).
Long story short, after much soul searching, I walked in with 2 guns and left with 2 guns. But I got my Kimber

I was very tempted to do a 2-for-1, but couldn't part with the 97. The 97 is a big piece of steel, but I couldn't let it go. So the scorecard is still heavily CZ with a 97, 40-P and 75b. The new addition is a basic Kimber Custom II. I loved the P-01, but when I had to pick, I always choose the 40-P first, so the P-01 needed to go.
The 97 was very nearly gone, but the governor called and was granted a reprieve.
