Trigger question

I had a trigger job on my cz 75 SP01 decocker, and I think the trigger may be too light for my taste.  I was looking for a standard trigger job with a 4-5 lb pull.   The report from the shop says that the pull is 3 lb 4 oz, and I think that is dead on.   I don't know that I mind the pull being a little light, but the trigger does not really have a break point.  I was expecting that there would be a distinct break after the firing pin block has moved out of the way before the hammer releases.  That point is barely perceptable when dry firing with a snap cap, but when firing out on the range, it is very easy to miss.  Is this typical after a trigger job on this gun?  Should I try to get used to it or get it re-worked?

It depends on what you mean.  Are you seeing some hammer camming before the break ?  To get a crisper break, you probably want to look into recutting the hammer hooks or using a different hammer.  Both the cajun gun works hammers and the competition hammer from czcustom produce fabulous results. 

On the other hand, if you just want to increase the trigger pull weight, consider a heavier main spring.  Personally, 3 lb's is pretty great and I wouldn't make it heavier.  Crisper perhaps, but not heavier.  Just my $0.02.

Some depends on the amount of pressure you are getting from your trigger return spring, the firing pin block spring, the hammer spring and sear spring and how the angles are cut.

if its cut to release, the sear will slide off the hook as pressure is applied. and if it takes less pressure to push the hook than what the springs load on you, then you won't really feel the release as you are pushing against a great pressure from the springs.

if you cut with slight slight angle on the hook and position the sear in the right spot. you can adust everything so you can feel the pressure load on the sear, rather than from the springs.

if that makes sense. 
there is nothing wrong with your trigger. either you have it redone to the specs you want, or you train to the point that you can feel the release.

Thanks guys.  I do not see the hammer camming before the break.  I just have a hard time feeling the break.  But, the gun operates flawlessly.  I'll call the shop and see what they say about tuning it a little different.
