CZ 82 grips and shoulder holster
« on: April 21, 2012, 08:40:40 AM »
Hello everyone.  I'm new to the group, just having joined last night.

I've got two CZ-82's and love them, especially one of them as its trigger is smooth as silk. The grips, however, are pretty bad.  They look like they have been used a lot going in and out of the holster, so I decided I needed new grips.  I wanted the factory grips as I will be carrying the gun and like the all-black look for that purpose.

So, I went on the CZ website and ordered a set of factory grips for the CZ-83.  ($19.00).  I know that they are not exactly the same as the CZ-82 grips and was wondering what I let myself in for.  I figure I will have to do some filing or something to get them to fit.  Has anyone ever gone through this?  Is it a big deal?

They also had a special where they gave you a leather (I think) shoulder holster, government surplus, plus two brown leather mag holders for nine dollars.  They had three holsters left when I was done.

I just could not pass up that deal.  Has anyone had experience with those items?

Thanks,

Joe

See if this helps:

I also ordered the discontinued CZ 82/83 shoulder holster from CZ-USA. I added some photos to aid in figuring out how to wear and adjust the holster.

Thanks for the pictures of the shoulder holster.  It looks like you got it right.  It looks like a good deal.  Is it comfortable?

I only wore it about an hour. I was pleased that I figure out how to weave the thin straps to adjust the holster to fit my shoulder. If the fit on your shoulder is good, it will makes it easier to wear. The strap across the back wasn't bad, but I could see where it might get tiring after a while.

I received the shoulder holster and it was so ill fitting, both on me and with respect to the CZ 82, I threw it out. The mag pouches were ok.
