I won't call it junk, but it's not the kind of holster that appeals to me.  I prefer something just a bit more substancial.

Holstes with mag holders seem like a good idea but aren't.

When you have to reload, the mag holder being on the holster side forces you to switch hands to access the mag (unles s you're wearing it cross-draw style.) In a real-life situation, that's NOT what you want to do.

Also, I can't tell by looking at the holster, but I prefer something that is firmer -- so that it stays open when the gun is pulled.  That holster MIGHT collapse when the gun is drawn.  That makes it harder to reholster the gun.

Cheap holsters always end up in a box, unused....

I purchased a holster like this when I bought my first handgun.  It absolutely stinks as a carry holster.  Especially if you want to carry concealed.  It flops out away from the body and leaves the grip of your handgun about 4" from your body.  Never mind actually running or getting into a scuffle.  It would make a good handle for a BG.  

But, I use this holster in my nightstand.  It holds a magazine that I leave in it.  When I take my gun out of a good leather holster from my body, it goes into this holster.  That way, if needed, I can pick up the whole package with a flashlight velcroed to it.  I am not picking up a loaded gun directly and must be cognizant enough to take it out of a holster and use it correctly.  

So, used practically, any holster can find a use.  Just invest in a quality holster for carry.  Holsters by Eric is a great source for a good holster.  He listens to what you want.  www.hbeleatherworks.com
