Well I changed the sear angle on my sear when using a stock hammer. With the competition hammer, it is better to use a stock sear angles. I also prefer fitting the sear to the safety since the safety costs more money. Since the competition hammer is hardened the sear will wear out faster which will require restoning every few thousand rounds to maintain the dame angle. With the competition hammer, it is not unusual to be able to engage the safety while the hammer is down.
