Sear cage moves a tiny amount...
« on: June 11, 2011, 01:11:57 PM »
When I test safety function of my unloaded LE Stainless 75B, I notice a very tiny bit of horizontal movement of the sear cage rearward.  The hammer cams back slightly as the sear cage moves back a tiny bit.  There is no movement of the sear in the vertical plane, the sear/hammer-hooks stay fully engaged.  I think the safety bar is flexing ever so slightly under the trigger pressure.

Does this seem normal?  Maybe someone could check theirs, just clear it, put the safety on, and watch the sear cage while pulling back on the trigger firmly.

Thanks!

its the ejector housing actually moving.
it is not a tight fit of the housing into the frame
the Tactical Sport uses two tiny springs to apply pressure to push the housing forward.
most critical on light single action guns.

Thank you gents, yes indeed it is the ejector housing.  I appreciate the help.

I am quite impressed with the internal CZ design.  This is my first and only CZ currently, but I can see more in the future.  Possibly a compact decocker model.  Still, I need a nice owb holster for my LE, it is such a sweet gun with the half-checkered cocobolos....

Oh heck, my other pistols are getting jealous!
