Hello all

Yeah im new here, My employers informed me I could make alot more money If I were to carry a firearm. I was reluctant being a long gun kind of guy! Well the lure of money sent me off to look at handguns ya know something light for wearing on a duty belt they showed me a 5.4 lb 1911 from springfield armory excellent weapon if ya want hip surgury in 5 years.
I looked at and tryed on evey handgun in the store some good some bad some downright ugly. Long story short I went home with this featherweight CZ 100. Ya I took some crap from my coworkers for DAO but Its what I prefer.

Well today I made it to the range waited my turn , finally got my lane. Loaded 8 rounds it was all the new springs would allow fired all in the black 6in target at 25y. Yess I was impressed. next load I managed to grudging coax 9 round in the mag, on the fourth shot my mag ejected for no reason No misfire no jam nothing. Inspected and reinserted the mag and finished fireing without problem. The next mag fired thru without problem still only got 9 round jamed into mag.
The mag ejection happened 3 more times before I ran out of rounds.

Ive read this forum for weeks and never heard of this problem so Am I to assume I got a bad mag or something else.

All in all I love it.

That's new! I would have to say either the mag release spring is weak, or the cutout in the mag body is shallow/malformed.
Did you buy this new or used, as a new one SHOULD have come with two mags. Contact CZ-USA, and ask to speak to Mike Eagleshield, the CZ gunsmith, about this. Ifit's new, ask for a replacement mag, (and find out what you dealer did with the other mag, which sells for over $35 each!)
  Hope that helps!

First off, welcome to the club.

As to your mag auto ejection problem, my first question would be did it happen with both magazines or only one? I am assuming they are factory mags.

I noticed on my 100 that with a fully loaded magazine I have to give it a pretty hard smack on the bottom to fully seat it. If you don't do that I suppose it could exhibit the problem you described.

Another very slim possibility would be you are somehow, through your grip pushing on the mag release just enough to cause the mag to eject. I doubt it, but it is something to check.

Try this. Take out your magazine and check how far the mag release is out compared to the grip. Now put in your magazine and check again. On my 100 with the mag in the release button is not quite as far out as with no mag inserted, but it is close. If there is a large difference, you might check the mag release for problems. Remove the magazine and cycle the slide to insure that the pistol is completely empty. Now remove the slide. With the slide off you can look down into the grip and see the mag release on the right front side of the mag well. Look to see if the machining looks smooth with crisp edges.

If everything looks OK, and the mag or mags continue to eject randomly, I would call Mike the gunsmith at CZ-USA and tell him of your problem.

Good luck with this problem. I am sure it can be resolved to your satisfaction.

Mike
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not really after you!
