Shot the CZ side by side with the X-5 today.  X-5 is nice, but it will take me a while to shoot it as well as I can shoot the CZ!  I put the SAO trigger back in the CZ and the 17 lb hammer spring so that I can continue shooting the CZ in 9mm and 22 with no problems.  The X-5 double action mode is excellent and the single action trigger is also good, but the gun feels pretty bulky after shooting the CZ so much over the last couple of months while the X-5 was gone.  Not sure I can put the CZ down yet.

The results now are hardly "initial" in nature.  I just added up the round count on the CZ and I have put 6,000 22 LR rounds and 2,300 9mm rounds through this gun with the CGW parts in it so far, that's in three months.

Most of that has been in SAO mode with a 17 lb mainspring to light off the 22 shell.  But I can switch back and forth between DA/SA and SAO mode and have the best of both worlds, especially in 9mm where the DA/SA springs and resulting pull are simply excellent.

I have a SIG X-5 that is being neglected, mainly because the CZ just flat suits me better.

Joe L,

That's obviously almost 10,000 rounds on my hammer and sear.  Glad to hear it is still performing to your expectations.  The CGW hammer in your pistol has a 72 degree hammer hook angle.  The sear is also 72 degrees.  This is a "neutral" cut that is discussed on this forum from time to time.

What this means is a durable, consistent, long-lasting trigger pull.  I am glad you're working these parts hard, keep it up.  And thanks for your posts on this forum, I really enjoy them!

Well over 10,000 rounds here with my CGW kit. Over time and wearing in, the trigger has only gotten better.
