Marschall Grips on a 75b
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:22:53 PM »
I am looking to get some Marschal grips for a 75b. I am a lefty, and I was wondering if the grips with finger grips and thumb rest would interfere with a righty shooting the gun? Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks

I have a set of Marschal grips with the finger cuts on both panels and the thumb rest on the left panel (I am righty). If I hold it with my left hand the thumb rest does not interfere with shooting, nor is is uncomfortable. I can feel the thumb rest between the base of my index and middle finger (on my palm), but I can still grip the pistol just fine, and I have shot it left hand a few times without trouble.

However, if I had it to do over again, I don't think I would get the finger cuts, or maybe only get the cuts on the left grip so that the tips of my right fingers would rest in them. I had to adjust my grip slightly to get comfortable with the finger cuts on the right grip, and I'm not sure I like it.

That being said, I really like the looks of them, and they are high quality. You won't be disappointed by the fit and finish.

No problem shooting weak hand (left hand for me) with both finger grips and thumb rest on left grip. Fit my hands perfectly so I would not change what I ordered.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Hey, that's what are friends for.

I do like the thumb rest, I think you can get the thumbrest only, if I remember Marschal's website correctly.

Easy isn't what we are here for :). Then you wouldn't have to decide. BTW I like the Zebra with red stain.

Thanks, for rallying together and coming up with a consensus. I think I will get thumb rest no finger cuts. And the zebra wood with the red stain sounds like it would look great on a satin finish 75b.

2 thumbs up for thumb rest and finger cuts.   Mine are red/wattle with the CZ logo.   Got them for my 1911 as well.

Hey there,

First time poster, long time lurker.  Is Marschall still in business?  Their website is kind of... lacking.

They are much better at making grips than updating websites or returning emails ;)

Delivery time is 2 or 3 months.   Almost too late to order for Christmas!
