CZ Noobie from NJ with a BD
« on: October 27, 2011, 08:55:24 PM »
Good evening all,
I just received my 75 BD at my FFL on Monday.  I currently have three Berettas, a 92FS, a 92FS Vertec, and a PX4.  I'm also breaking in a relatively new Browning Buck Mark.  I purchased the CZ because I wanted a "Wonder Nine," and they sure do look beautiful.  Good enough reason for me!  I've been looking through your forum for a while now, and I'm glad that you all are here.

I do have a noobie CZ question, and if it's  better in the BD subforum then tell me and I'll post it there:

Since I've just taken possession of the pistol, I won't have a chance to get it to the range until Saturday morning.  I have disassembled it, cleaned it, and used snap caps in it.  I've been attempting to use the decock feature, but it hasn't been lowering the hammer.  At all.  My concern is that since it is a decocker, I'd like to see that particular function in action.  My Berettas both lower the hammer when the decocker lever is pulled, but for some reason the CZ does not.  Is this something that I should be concerned with, or will it function properly when there is live ammunition in the magazine and barrel?  I don't see why there should be a difference, but until I become more aquainted with this new, fine piece of steel I was hoping to get some feedback from some experienced owners.

Thanks in advance for your help, and I look forward to interacting with you all in the future!

P.S.-Never mind, I figured it out.  bleep that's a stiff lever!
