ok so ill just assume this is an 85 combat then, what is the difference between the cz-85 models, transitional, combat and pre-b
if you look at some of the stickies at the top of the boards, you will find great information as to whats what in the cz lineup of pistols.
there is no such cz product as the "transition/transitional" its something that was coined by someone.
if you care to enrich your knowledge on CZs, you can try amazon or whatever fav book search you can find and look for some cz books. Ramos has one out and he goes into some depth as to the internals and clones.
fyi, heres a pic of a couple of my 85s.

the top one is considered by Ramos as an early 85 "combat". note the adjustable rear sight. DOB in oval is: 92
the bottom one is what i would call a 85 "transitional" not a combat either. note the spur hammer not the ring hammer. it also has the square trigger guard and no adjustable rear sight as mentioned earlier. DOB in oval is: 91
this pic below is another 85 (not combat). Note the round trigger guard and spur hammer. It also has the epoxy finished lower with a blued upper. I would call it an "transition" due to the more current Slide Release and Safely levers. But the lower says early 75/85 to me due to the round trigger guard. DOB on it says 87
