Satin nickel
« on: October 21, 2011, 09:48:44 AM »
I've been looking at a new 75B in satin nickel with the safety and slide latch in black.  The new ones at the online dealers show the safety and latch in matching nickel and not the contrasting black, which I think looks better.  I know sometimes they use stock photos that my not be acurate.  Does anyone know for sure which finish is correct?

w14,
My safety and slide release are in black,  but then I got mine way way back in '94.

Hard to say what they might be doing today.

I've had my new nickle 75B only a month or so. All controls are black. I replaced the factory plastic grips with factory rubber. Great looking gun. It takes a while (500 rnds or so) for the trigger to smooth out and once you get used to the LONG pull-it shoots well. Still getting used to it.

My guess is that the pic with the "silver" controls is actually a CZ 75B in matte stainless, not nickel. The stainless steel 75's controls are the same color/material as the pistol (matte, polished, etc.)

The magazine release on the stock photo pistol is the reversible type which is a feature of the SS models but not the nickeled ones.

FWIW, my new Nickel was made in July, and has the black controls and non-reversable mag release.

It really is beautiful in real life--pictures don't do it justice IMHO.

CZ's website shows stainless controls.

I have a dual tone.  The frame is satin nickel.
All the controls are black.
