I believe that this variant of the VZ58 is available in Canada.  I cannot find much on it but it is made by Novohradsky and I believe this company is from the Czech Republic.  I found some vids of people on YouTube with them and they dont seem any different than what's common here in the USA like our CSA imports and the Century rifles but in a pic I found I see one thing I like.  It's a railed dust cover and I'm posting a link to see the pic.

Yea, I remember reading about them once, a few years back. The verdict was people didnt think they truly held zero. But I dont remember proof, just people saying with how much wiggle and force goes on those it shouldnt be able to...

It reminds me of the sks railed dust covers.  I have to say though, I do see people put aim points and stuff on the railed handguards on the 58 and those have a slight wobble.  My dust cover has less wobble than my hand guard and I think even for looks someone in the US should offer that piece.  The two things on a 58 I do not like are the stamped trigger guard and dust cover.  Anyone in Canada know where to get them?  The the stock adapter with the rail, and the rail that sits on that on Czechpoint's sight seems more solid, but that's a lot of aluminum and not real eye candy like Fab Defense stuff.

Interesting that it's set up for AR-15 7.62x39mm magazines with an AR style mag release.

It makes me really excited to see what Czechpoint gets in this year.  I've seen the Zahal videos with what we'd call sbrs and that 12" is a must, and like the pic I posted the little pocket 7.5 is another one I can't wait to see sbr'd.  My pic has what looks like a magpul stock on it.  If you zoom in though you can see the scratch on the side from the original side folder.  Id like too see one with the origional side folder and a custom front end.
