CZ 550 carbine kevlar 9.3x62
« on: December 09, 2011, 05:37:48 PM »
The CZ 550 kevlar carbine in 9.3x62 looks like an interesting package for here in Alaska but I have questions:

1. Have any of you installed receiver/peep sights on one and is the comb low enough for this.

2. The catalog says "3 position safety" but the picture doesn't look like it......is the safety like my Kimbers or pre 64 70s.

3. Where is the center of balance? Ahead of the magazine I suspect.

Accuracy?

Thanks for you help....

Mine is not the kevlar, but rather the Lux.  The only question I can answer is #2: The safety does indeed have 3 positions.  They have been making them that way for the US market for quite some time.

Have a look at the ghost ring rear sight topic on the CZ Big Bore Rifles Child Board. It relates to the (recently introduced) NECG peep sight for full size Brno/CZ rifles.

A good shot at close range beats a 'hit' at a longer range.
