Hi All,
I recently bought myself a barely used CZ 97BD at a local gun store. I have loved the style for years. Being a .45 lover the 97 seemed the perfect choice to start out with in the CZ line.
It only came with one magazine when I purchased it, but I was able to get 5 more on the internet rapidly, and a BladeTech belt holster, and a HighNoon UnderArmor shoulder holster.
I also have grabbed around 450 rounds of assorted ammo to run through it as soon as I can get to the range.
I have a couple of questions. 1st, I noticed when I dissassembled it for inspection and pre shoot cleaning that the slide rails and all linkages were lubed with what looked like white lithium grease. Is the factory lube?
The next thing I noticed was more of a feel thing. When I rack the slide rearward and and run it forward, the movement feels a little rough and catchy, like maybe it needs more shooting to smooth it out. The rails don't seem to have the black finish worn off them yet and the gun looked like it was hardly ever shot. It was spotless internally and externally. It was made in 09 and was in the store since 10.
Anyway I am excited to add it to my stable of 45's and can't wait to take it out and give her a good break in.
I will fill you in as to how it performs when I get to shoot it.
BTW I love this site---Tons of information and friendly advice.
