In answer to your question, you may have to create a new account to correct the speling error, unfortunately what you enter (that's accepable, is what you get). With your low post count, that may be the simplest course of action. Then shoot a PM to one of the admins/mods and wait for the cleanup from their end.
Sounds like you have been bitten by the bug in a serious was, I feel your anguish. A trip to the range is recommended for temporary relief.
