Working load for 97B (makes IPSC major, feeds fine).
« on: March 09, 2012, 07:26:39 PM »
Hello

I had failures to feed earlier. With my new handload I (last week) tested two hands, strong hand only, weak hand only. No FTF, FTE, no failures of any kind. This was an IPSC practice, start from holster etc. No problems whatsoever.

From my 1911 single stack Norinco this load measured PF 174.
My CZ 97B always measures a bit more - I didn't actually speed test it with my CZ.

Lead Extrusions 230gr .451 FMJ RN.
Vihtavuori N320 4.9 grains.
31mm OAL.

I have a tiny mod in my gun: a drop of epoxy on top of the mag catch. Raises the magazine a little higher. I will grind the epoxy off and replace it with welded metal since the epoxy will wear off too fast.

As you can tell misc brand cases and large primer.
No use to sort the ammo by case manufacturer when practicing.
