CZ-712 Disassembly Photo Album
« on: January 23, 2010, 02:25:11 PM »
I cleaned my 712 this weekend and took photos.  Here's a link to the album, and to the slideshow.

The links all work for me.  Let me know if they work for you.

Also note, the slideshow plays pretty fast.  I prefer the album view, where you can page through and read the captions.

Feedback?

Wow, Tim, what a nice service you've done with your photos and explanations.  However, I'm not real certain about where the position of the O-ring should be when assembling (new gun out of box).  Is it snugged up against the piston?

Sorry for not getting back sooner.  I am working in South Africa now, and kind of lost track of this forum.

In answer to your question, place the o-ring over the magazine tube, just below the threads, exactly like it shows in the "o-ring and piston" photo.

Then, when you put the barrel on, the o-ring will be properly placed in the cylinder.

timb99.....

Hope you don't mind, but I copied your links over to a thread on the Huglu Forum at SGW.

I just picked up my 712 and was wondering about the barrel having some front to back movement maybe an 1/8 inch or less when assembled is that normal ????

That does not sound normal at all.  The barrel should be fully seated in the receiver.

I'd contact CZ Customer Service if you can't get it fully seated.

Timb99, thanks for all your work, your photos and captions are 100 times better than the CZ manual and I called CZ and it seems the forend wasn't seated properly it needed a little  push to seat ...

This also works for the 720.  I used it a couple of months ago when I disassembled my 720.
